IT Hardware and Servers

Retired IT hardware is important to recycle and repurpose since many of these components have a quick turnaround in most office settings and discarded IT items fill up landfills. But when properly decommissioned, the raw materials that go into making hardware can be manufactured into new products.

Servers are environmentally hazardous due to printed circuit boards (PBCs) containing polychlorinated biphenyl. The best solution is for them to be salvaged and reused.
